After he lost his father and mother, All Sean wanted was to help others. He stopped being a junky, Because he wanted to serve his country. He wanted all of the fighting to stop, So he joined the army since he couldn't be a cop. He promised to do everything he could, To stop the wars and he knew he would. He started his training right away, And made a friend on the first day. His name was John, He was really strong. Soon enough they became good friends, But they didn't know it was close to the end. It was finally time to go to war, This is what Sean's been waiting for. It was time to fight for what was right, This was his chance to be the knight. It didn't take long for the bloodshed to start, And now was the time for him to be smart. He had to make sure he didn't get caught, Make a stupid move or get himself shot. More than anything there was stress, Especially when there was no progress. All that happened was people dying, Families split up and people crying. It wasn't long before John was hit, He went down and that was it. Sean just lost it and went insane, He could no longer handle the pain. First his father and then his mother, Now his friend, he couldn't handle another. The very next day he received some mail, Once he saw it his face went pale. It was a letter saying that his wife died, He dropped to his knees and then he just cried. He has had too much loss in his life, His parents, best friend and now his wife. He no longer cared if he got shot, And then was just left here to rot. He would much rather die, Then at all be alive. He stood up thinking maybe he shouldn't quit, But just like that, he too was hit. Searching for the shooter, he looked around, But he didn't see much before he hit the ground. "To anyone who can hear me, I hope everyone will eventually be free. Even though the fighting might not cease, I can still finally be at peace. Knowing that I won't have to feel the pain, Of losing another loved one yet again. But now I can be with my father and mother, My friend, my wife and all the others."
For Sloane, today was a good day. But the fear won't stay at bay. Eventually she will have to go home, And deal with her father all alone. Hopefully he's not too drunk again. She doesn't want to go through the pain when, He gets mad and strikes her. Whenever he does, everything turns into a blur. Her head starts spinning, Her vision starts tinting, Her father is there grinning. And that's just the beginning. Sometimes she gets knocked out, And in her mind there's no doubt. She can't keep on living like this, Any other place would be bliss. She needs to get out of there and do it soon, Before her life becomes a typhoon. She's worried of what would go through her Dad's mind, If she just got up and left him behind. Would he just lose it and go insane? Or would he keep drinking away the pain? She decided that she didn't care, What he does and if it's fair. Sometimes she wishes that he would die, She wouldn't feel grief or even cry. She's going to leave and do it tonight, It's up to her to change her life. The bell rings to dismiss class, Everyone leaves, and again she's last. Her friend tries to talk to her on her way to the bus, But there is absolutely nothing she wants to discuss. The bus comes to a stop, Its time to get off. She gets up, her legs are shaking, She can't believe the decision she's making. She walks up to her house and opens the door, To see her father dead on the floor. She closes her eyes and drops to her knees, She grabs her father's hand and starts to squeeze. Tears start to fall, and she wipes them away, Then all of a sudden her world turned grey. All of her feelings disappeared, The fog in her mind started to clear. "This isn't my fault, I can't be blamed, If anything it is him who should be ashamed. I did nothing wrong, All I did was stay strong." She picked up the phone and called 911, What happened, happened, what's done is done. The medics said they were on their way, She wanted to leave, but decided to stay. She looked her dad in his cold dead eyes, "It is about time that I say goodbye. I tried to be tough, But enough was enough. I was done with your shit, So this is it. When they come and take you away, I hope you know that it will make my day. You beat me, and hurt me, Hit me '1, 2, 3', It was a waste of my time to try and plea, So now I thank you for setting me free." The medics showed up and took him with them, They talked to her and asked her to come. Of course she refused, Saying she was confused. She went to hey room, Her hideout, her tomb. She packed her bags as fast as she could, Then left the house like she said she would. She took a moment and counted to four, And thought "I should have been careful what I wished for".
She acts like she's normal in public, But nobody know that she's an alcoholic. She drinks away the pain, To keep from going insane. No one knows what she's going through, But she also doesn't want them to. What would happen if they knew? If they knew, what would they do? She doesn't know what goes on in her own mind, She's too scared to know, and of what she'd find. She isolates herself at home, All she wants is to be alone. She doesn't want her sadness to show, Even though she forgot how to smile a long time ago. "Would the world be better off without me? Yeah, I'm better off dead, anyone would agree." Nobody knows what she's thinking. They don't know that she's been drinking. They don't know that she wants to die, Or that she only ever wants to cry. It wouldn't be the first time If she attempted suicide. Although maybe she won't actually do it. Even though it's a quick slit of the wrists. But if she did would anybody care? If not it's probably fair. She never cared about anyone else, She only ever cared about herself. "Nobody would notice if I was gone. They would just keep living on." She goes in the kitchen and grabs a knife. She thinks nothing matters less than her life. She locates a vain, And anticipates the pain. But then, the doorbell rings. "Ding dong ding dong ding" Then she hears a voice, And now she has a choice. Answer the door and let them in Or ignore it and don't care who it is. She gives into her curiosity, And hides her animosity. "I noticed you weren't at work today, I came to see if you were okay. I made some soup, as well as stew. I didn't know what'd be better for you." It was the guy from down the isle, From her at work, his name was Kyle. She burst out in tears, She couldn't believe he was here. "Why are you crying? Are you dying? Are you alright? You're looking really white. Why do you have a knife? Were you going to commit suicide?" She hung her head in shame, There was nobody at all to blame. "Please don't kill yourself. I couldn't live with myself, Knowing that I let you go, Especially when I love you so." She dropped to her knees, Starting to feel the unease. He picked her up with surprising ease, Then just simply gave her a squeeze. "I didn't know anyone cared about me, But now it's very clear to see. I just wanted the pain to go away, I thought death was the only way. But now I know that it is better if I stay, Especially since I have you to keep my monsters at bay."
Many people around the world are being criticized about the decisions that they make. Weather it is because they have a same sex partner, had a sex change, or cross-dress. Can someone please explain to me why people think that it is hard an complicated to respect other peoples' decisions. Why they think it is alright to criticize others for the decisions that they make when it is not their business? People say that they are confused about what exactly they should call someone who is transgender or cross-dresses. That they aren't sure if they should call them a he or a she. Well it is simple! CALL THEM WHAT THEY WANT TO BE CALLED! If a women gets a surgery to become a man and wants to therefore be recognized as such, then you call that person a man and use the terms he, him, and his. Same goes for this situation in reverse. But you know what not to call them? It. Doing this, you are de-humanizing these people. And they are people. There is absolutely noreason to discriminate someone because of this. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that other people's decisions are not your business whatsoever and you have absolutely no right to discriminate and criticize them for the decisions that they make.
Have you ever looked at someone and thought to yourself, "what ever did happen to innocence?" I know that I have. Kids nowadays are swearing and have some of the dirtiest minds ever! But is isn't only the kids! Everyone has a dirty mind! You may say that you don't but I can GUARANTEE that you do. And here is a little something to prove it.
Roses are red, Nuts are brown. Skirts go up, pants go down. Body to body, skin to skin. When it's stiff, stick it in. It goes in dry and comes out wet The longer it's in, the stronger it gets. It comes out dripping and it starts to sag, It's not what you think! It's a LIPTON tea bag! Now get your mind out of the gutter...
If you didn't guess that it was a tea bag, and that is was something perverted, you most definitely have a dirty mind. Now I'm not saying that anything is wrong with that, but what did happen to innocence? What happened to someone saying that they liked to play with balls (soccer, basket, beach, golf, bouncy, ect.) without someone else giggling or making some kind of comment such as "that's what she said". Why are so many peoples' minds corrupted like this? Honestly, I have no idea. All I do know is that it isn't going to stop. Soon enough it will be everyone who has a dirty mind and not just most people.
There are three types of people in this world. The people who love puns and everyone knows it, the people who hate puns, and the people who seem to hate them but secretly love them. I, am one of those people who absolutely love puns. No matter how cheesy they are, they are funny. They are jokes that almost anybody can understand. Ones like "how do you organize a party in space? You planet" or even "to write with a broken pencil is pointless". What I don't get is why people hate puns. They are clever, funny and they make you think. They are stupid jokes for smart people! One of the reasons that I love puns so much is that it they give you the whole "I see what you did there" feeling. So If you are one of those people who hate puns, well... you obviously don't have a sense of humor and you have to loosen up a bit! And to those who love puns just like me, here are a few more puns for you to enjoy:
I used to go fishing with a dj, but he kept dropping the bass. I ate too much Middle Eastern food and now I falafel. How do you make antifreeze? You steal her blanket. It was an emotional wedding, even the cake was in tiers. What does a house wear? A dress. There was an explosion in France. There's de-brie everywhere. Two antennae were on a roof. They fell in love and had a wedding. The service wasn't great but the reception was excellent. I asked a French guy if he played video games. He said WII. Jokes about German sausage are the wurst. What happens when a chemist dies? They baruim. The furniture store keeps calling me to come back, but all I wanted was one night stand.
If you have anymore puns or even just regular jokes that you would like to share, please feel free to comment them of email me.
Remembrance Day. What exactly are we supposed to remember? Most would argue that we are remembering the soldiers that died in war to protect our country. Others would argue that we are remembering what happened in other countries and how peace was once made. The traditional Remembrance Day assemblies and parades are about remembering the soldiers that gave their life for their country. But today, my school took a different approach. Rather than just remembering the dead, we should recognize the people who survive wars and/or escape countries that are/were in war. That we should recognize the good things that came out of war. Frankly, I disagree. I think Remembrance Day Is about remembering and not just recognizing. We need to remember those who fought for peace and not just the people who escaped wars. Although I do think the refugee and immigrant approach was creative and interesting, I felt that if they want to use that topic for Remembrance Day then they should find balance between that and remembering the dead. It should be about how these people fought for peace, and because of that, people come to Canada for safety and peace. Some of you may disagree with me but this is my opinion and I am entitled to it, but if you would like to share your thoughts about this topic, please comment or email me.
Before I start let me clarify that I will be talking about an album and not some kind of strange animal. Now that I have cleared that up, let's get started shall we? The album Strange Animal by Lawrence Gowan is most definitely in my to 3 favourites. This album includes songs like Strange Animal, Criminal Mind, Desperate, City of Angels, and Guerilla Soldier. Unless you are an 80's child, I can almost guarantee that you have no idea who Gowan is, or heard any of these songs. But if I mention Styx or the song Mr. Roboto, you may know who I am talking about (Gowan is the newest singer for Styx). These songs are more of a subtle classic rock, meaning very few have guitar solos, disturbing lyrics, and are loud. The best song on this album, despite the name of the album, is Criminal Mind. It is awesome and has a very inspiring message. It talks about how people struggle daily and all they know how to do is be a criminal as well as how some people just don't care if they do something wrong because they struggle with their conscious. Some people when hearing this song think that it is just about being a criminal, but it really isn't. Anyways, thank you so much for reading and if you have any questions or suggestions just comment or email me.
Today i will be talking about one of my favourite albums, Blizzard of Ozz by Ozzy Osbourne. This album Is great because it includes songs such as Crazy Train, Mr Crowley, I Do't Know, and No Bone Movies. Each of these songs along with all the others on the album have amazing guitar solos. The best song on this album is undoubtedly Crazy Train. It is fun, and believe it or not, has a very influential message about learning to love in a world gone mad. Not just that but The guitar solo is incredible! The guitarist for this song is Randy Rhodes, who was the former guitarist for Quiet Riot. The reason that this guitar solo is so magnificent is because Randy had to play each note of the solo twice the exact same way which gave the solo a very sui generis sound. Any person who has even the slightest of an interest in classic rock knows this song because it is a classic. If you want to know any questions for me about this album, feel free to email me! Next time I will be talking about the Strange Animal album by Lawrence Gowan.
