Number 4 on the list is Beat It by Michael Jackson. This song is from the Thriller album of 1982. Number 3 is one of my favourites, Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard. There are many different genres of music such as pop, metal, country, indie, punk, blues, jazz, classical, dance, and more. But the best is incontestably 80's rock. You may ask why, so I'll tell you why. It's because some of the artists include Metallica, Queen, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, AC/DC, Jon Bon Jovi, Kiss, Ozzy Osbourne, Styx, Scorpions, Motley Crue, Motorhead, Journey, Survivor, Aerosmith... I could keep going but I think you got the point. Anyways, you may disagree with me about 80's rock being the best, but, well, I can't force you to be right. But seriously, how can you not love it? Especially with songs like Come Sail Away, Dr. Feelgood, Janie's Got a Gun, Eye of the Tiger, Home Sweet Home, Cult of Personality, Don't Stop Believing, and more. So in conclusion, 80's rock is the best and if anyone tells you different, just remember that you can't force someone to be right. Before we get started, let me just clarify that I will be talking about chocolate and that is it. So who like chocolate? I know I do! But did you know that chocolate can be healthy for you? Well it can... if it is dark chocolate. The higher percentage of cocoa in the chocolate, the healthier. How you say? Well first off, it can lower your blood pressure! Not just that, but it also a very powerful source of antioxidants. Dark chocolate can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. This magnificent treat can also improve you brain function! Not just that but it can also work kind of like sunscreen! Now don't go covering yourself in dark chocolate because that is not how it works! All you have to do is eat it. But hey, if you want to cover yourself in chocolate, by all means, I'm not stopping you! Now before you go out to the beach after eating some dark chocolate expecting not to get burnt, hear me out. It doesn't protect you from getting a sun burn, but it will protect you from sun-induced damage. So in conclusion, darker really is better! When people say that laughter is the best medicine, they aren't kidding. Laughter is one of the most powerful things in the world! Have you ever been so upset that even your favorite song, food, or show can't even cheer you up? Of course you have, don't lie! But what happens to all that anger or sadness when someone makes a silly face at you or says something like, "panties are just pillowcases for butts." I'll tell you what happens! You laugh! And when you laugh, all that anger and sadness disintegrate. But why does laughter have this affect on people? Well first off, it lowers blood pressure and reduces stress hormone levels, making you happier. Also, it's a natural pain killer, so if you are physically or mentally in pain, laughing makes it better. But laughing doesn't just make you happier, it also makes you healthier! Laughing reduces heart disease, improves breathing, gives good sleep, helps with weight loss, improves immunity, enhances creativity and problem solving skills, helps treat depression ans anxiety, boosts memory, and even makes you look young. So in conclusion, laughter is the best medicine, but if you laugh for no reason you may need medicine. Even so, a day without laughter is a day wasted. Many people will disagree, but one of the best things in the world are infomercials. Why are infomercials great? Because they are hilarious! You get some like the one for the Schticky (which is done by the same guy who does the Sham-Wow), Slap-chop, Booty Pop, Potty Putter, Kush Support, GLH, UroClub and more. My personal favorite is probably the Schticky and the two best lines from it are: "Problem with that shedding pussy? Pick up cat hairs from clothes..." and "Hey Vince!... Oh you're playing with your schticky, I'm sorry." Infomercials don't just make you laugh, they also make you think. Although probably the only thing that you are thinking about when watching one is either, "Why on Earth am I watching this?" or "Who and why would anyone even think of these thing let alone make them then advertise them!" Even so, you are still thinking, kind of... not really. Anyways... infomercials. There was a nuclear explosion across the whole world and you, along with 9 other people, are the only survivors and you live in a bunker. If you were all to stay in the bunker, the supplies would only last for two years; but if you decide to sacrifice all but three of the people, those three people could live for many years. Most people would choose to sacrifice 7 people so that three could live longer. Why? Because they don’t necessarily consider that quality might just be better then quantity. But the decision may also be influenced by something more. Perhaps one of those people was an 80 year old woman, another was a drug addict, and someone else had no legs and didn’t have a wheelchair with them. Some people may think that since they hold no importance and probably have nothing important to offer, they would just be taking up space and using up the supplies. There is another thing that may influence the decision. A leader. In most times of crisis, someone steps forward and takes control and that person is usually the one who thinks that they have the most to offer. Since that person takes control, they then have some power over you and therefore can in some way influence your decision. How? Well because they have put him or herself in charge, the others feel like they should agree with or obey whatever they say. Let’s say the “leader” of the group say that the 7 people should be sacrificed and to figure out who will be sacrificed, everyone will have a chance to speak and afterwards there will be a vote. But what happens if you are the old lady, drug addict, or disabled person? How could you convince everyone else to save you instead of someone else? You can’t, it is next to impossible. Although if you were one of them, how would you feel? How would you then see the situation? Would you see the others as the people who deserve to live? Would you think it is fair and that you should sacrifice yourself for the others? Or would you think that just because you are old, disabled, an addict, or something else you shouldn’t be valued any different than anyone else. Personally I would think that everyone should be valued the same no matter who they are or I am. Just because someone may not have as much to offer as the person next to them, it does not mean that they should be valued differently and considered less important. So I guess what I am trying to say is that we shouldn’t value someone because of their age, looks, experience, job, health or anything else.
Have you ever had it where someone asks you to tell them more about yourself and you are just like, "Oh god.... Who am I?" You probably have, even if you didn't notice. But really, even if you think you know everything about yourself, it is more than likely that you don't. There is an expression that says "you learn something new every day", and that is very true especially when it comes to yourself. Today, I learned a few things about myself. I learned that I am more emotional than I thought I was, I am indulgent, impulsive, direct, spontaneous, analytical, sensitive, intuitive, a dreamer, a leader, and a pioneer. I also found out that while I am an open person, and am also a bit of an introvert. Most of these things I agree with but some I don't. For example, I don't really agree with the fact that I am indulgent because I do tend to put others' comfort before mine... well as long as I like them but still. Even though I do not agree with the fact that I am indulgent, I know that I got this result because whether I pay attention to it or not, I do put my comfort before others' unless they mean a LOT to me. Knowing what I now know about myself, I may approach some issues differently than I would have before. For example, now that I know that I am analytical, I will use this to further consider things going on around me rather than just letting it pass me by. Doing this might even open my mind to more possibilities as well as consider different perspectives more than I already do."Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya! You killed my father! Prepare to die!", "Mawage. Mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooday.", "Inconceivable!". |
